Jack

Byrne

The midfielder was plucked from Oldham at the end of his contract, and had largely failed to live up to expectations after dropping out of the Manchester City academy. He was given a new lease on life in Iceland, where he played all over the midfield when needed. Byrne remained a constant when all other positions turned over, raising his game to match the rising level of HK. He has never posted an all-comps average rating under 7.5 in five years. The consistent quality of 'the Irishman' cannot be overstated.

Tiago Jogo

The original Mezzala for HK, Jogo was the class of Iceland in his prime. He had incredible timing and intelligence in his movement into the opponents box and was constantly a game-changing force when all else failed. He was Man of the Match an astonishing 23 times. His leadership was also tremendous, guiding the team to its first major trophies in Iceland. Although he left the club to seek out playing time in his native Portugal, he will always be remembered as one of the finest players to ever grace the candy stripes.
